Experience Adirondack beauty, year round,
at The Kenmore Cottages on Fourth Lake
Nestled in the Adirondack woods, on the north shore of Fourth Lake, eight miles north of Old Forge, The Kenmore Cottages have provided comfortable lakefront lodging for families, couples, and groups who desire a relaxing or action-packed vacation since 1901. The Kenmore’s 16 housekeeping cottages, housing from 4 to 13 people, include fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms with showers, Wi-Fi, cable TV, BBQ grills, picnic tables, and more.
Enjoy the many activities in the large recreation area on our 4.8 acre property: volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, and a swing/play set. The 200’ lakefront has a gradual sandy beach and swim area with a swim platform. Use one of the free boats: canoe, rowboat, paddleboat, kayak, or SUP. For a small fee, take out one of the small sailboats. Bring your own boat, as there is plenty of dock space. A dock fee is charged.
Explore the surrounding Adirondack Park area: hike, fish, boat, canoe, kayak, bike, shop, golf. Go horseback riding, take a ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad or in Payne’s Seaplane to see the spectacular view of Fourth Lake and the surrounding mountains from the air. Visit nearby Enchanted Forest and Water Safari. The Adirondack Museum, The Wild Center, Goodsell Museum, and the Arts Center in Old Forge offer interesting exhibits and events throughout the year. Cook in or eat out at one of the many local restaurants in Old Forge, Eagle Bay, Inlet, Big Moose, and Stillwater from pizza to fine dining (a la Adirondack).
Spring and fall are peaceful and quiet in the Adirondacks. Attend May’s annual Paddlefest, June’s Black Fly Challenge Bike Race, and September’s Annual 90-mile Canoe Classic. Take time to canoe and kayak the Fulton Chain of Lakes or one of the many nearby lakes, or sit and immerse yourself in fall’s spectacular foliage!
Because Old Forge is the “Snowmobile Capital of the East,” our winter season is December 1 to April 1. Our winter wonderland also offers ice fishing, downhill and cross country skiing, skating, and snowshoeing. The Kenmore is directly across from Trail 5, is on the lake, and has ample truck and trailer parking. Use our heated workshop for snowmobile repairs.
Come share the beauty of the lake, mountains, and sky, and the fun of an Adirondack vacation.
